MARTIN were appointed by Brandeaur to provide civil engineering enabling works for the installation of a new 565m alpine toboggan track in Colin Glen Forest Park in Belfast. This was the first and only Alpine Coaster ride in Ireland.
Service & Products
Works involved the reshaping of existing ground to suit the level of the new track layout, installation of two 15m long tunnels, construction of top and bottom stations and associated fencing and lighting layouts.
MARTIN worked closely with the Austrian design team to ensure that the enabling works had been completed prior to the programmed arrival of the construction team.
MARTIN also assisted with the construction of some parts of the track together with the supply of local materials and co-ordination of deliveries and storage.
