MARTIN completed the extension of an existing distribution facility for Ferraris Piston Services, Sheffield. The building consisted of a new state of the art distribution area, offices, canteen, toilets, wash bays and changing facilities. Working with a novated design team from HCD, Sheffield, the extension was constructed on a sloping site, adding 15,000 ft sq to the existing live 30,000ft sq facility.The works were completed whilst keeping the busy site fully operational throughout and was successfully delivered on time and on budget.

The steel frame, retaining wall, cladding and concrete slab contractor design elements and local supply chain worked extremely well to deliver the project to a successful conclusion. A detailed phasing plan was developed to permit sections of the car parking to be utilised throughout.
