MARTIN were appointed main contractor to install bespoke signage for Failte Ireland on sites stretching from County Cork through to County Cavan. With over 80 individual sites in total, and most of these located at or within areas of significant historical significance, logistics and planning were crucial to the success of this scheme.

Works involved; archeological assessment and application for consents at each location; excavation and place precast foundation at each site; install bespoke corten signage; backfill and reinstate; supply and place indigenous natural stone to bespoke pattern, approx. 600m2; enabling works, stone walls and flexible surfacing

Following on from MARTINs successful delivery of the Wild Atlantic Way project for Failte Ireland, MARTIN were selected as Failte Ireland preferred bidder to deliver the second flagship tourism strategy, Irelands Ancient East.

Spanning 80 sites across Irelands East Coast and heartlands, bespoke interpretive signage and sculptural installations were placed in rural and urban locations.
