MARTIN are delighted to have completed the construction of a new luxury Volvo dealership in Stockport, the latest in our growing relationship with The Looker Group.
The launch of the new Lookers Volvo site in St Mary’s Way, Mersey Street, represents a £3m Design & Build Project and features a six-bay modern workshop and an eight-strong new car showroom. Inspired by Scandinavian design and with large exterior and interior glazing, and a focus on physical and digital presentation and integrated sales and service areas. Externally, we have constructed a very well illuminated space which can accommodate 50 Volvo Selekt approved used vehicles and customer parking.
The Volvo Stockport team have already hosted the first in a series of exciting launches of exciting new models in 2018, including the all new Volvo XC40 in February.
Nigel McMinn, chief operating officer at Lookers plc, said: ‘I am delighted to be here at the opening of the new Lookers Volvo dealership. It is a reflection of our confidence in the fantastic new range of models that Volvo are producing and their clear position as an authentic Swedish premium brand. ‘I would like to thank Jon Wakefield, MD of Volvo UK, for joining us in celebrating the official opening of our fantastic new showroom. Lookers is proud to invest into the Volvo brand and we hope all of our customers enjoy our state-of-the-art facility here in Stockport.’
Boyd Dennell, general manager at Lookers Volvo Stockport, said: ‘We are very excited to be opening this ultra-modern Lookers Volvo outlet. It’s the perfect time to be strengthening our relationship with the brand and 2018 represents a very exciting year for Lookers and Volvo in the UK”.
The MARTIN team, led up by Contracts Manager Michael O’Boyle worked extremely well with Northmill Architects, Bruce Shaw and Charles Andrews to deliver this project. We have went on to secure our largest project to date, again with Lookers, signifying that satisfaction with our service and commitment to quality.
