We have completed work at the new Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Centre, Mallusk. The works involved: Structural Steel Frame, Roof and Wall Cladding, Curtain Walling, Panoramic Roller Shutters, Internal Walls, Internal Doors, Glazed Partitions. Floor, Wall and Ceiling Finishes, FF&E, M&E Installations and BWIC, associated Siteworks, Drainage (including culvert diversion) and Site Services.
MARTIN have constructed the new Commercial Vehicle Centre, within a live trading environment, this required continuous communication with the showroom to manage movement of traffic and people around the site. Early agreement had been made regarding location of site compounds and storage areas, the location of temporary accommodation for showroom staff and display stock as well as agreement on a robust traffic management plan to control traffic moving in, out and around the site. A key consideration on developing the Traffic Management Plan was maintaining the customer experience while visiting the site.
One of the major challenges of the project was carrying out the extensive refurbishment whilst maintaining full functionality of the decanted client during refurbishment. This was made possible by carrying out enabling works to establish power and data connections prior to the decant taking place thus minimising disruption to the trading business.
MARTIN are delighted to have completed the construction of a new luxury Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Centre in Mallusk for Isaac Agnew.
