MARTIN have completed the overcladding, window replacement and roof refurbishment at Minerva Street, Glasgow

Following some initial remedial works on a development constructed by other, MARTIN were invited to tender for a replacement windows project on a six storey high residential development in Glasgow for Bellorr Developments. With all 52 apartments inhabited, the logistics of arranging access to the various properties was very challenging.
This task developed further with water ingress into the apartments through the concrete panels, and a larger project tendered to overclad the entire rear faced of the building.
Project works included;
MARTIN worked with the design team to develop fixing details to an existing substrate, integrating an updated fire strategy while maintaining the demand to delivering something aesthetically pleasing to the residents. With the windows replaced, the weathering detail and the interaction between the windows and the Trespa panels was of utmost importance. Making good any water damage internally from the initial construction was required to complete the scheme.
Both the residents committee and the design team conveyed their sincere appreciation for bringing the building back to a standard that they had bought into. The MARTIN team did an excellent job to ensure the needs of the residents were attended to while controlling expenditure for the developer.
